Nude Awakening

Barely-there lip colour is one of those makeup looks that seems simple in theory, but there's an art to pulling it off. We asked our beauty stylist Aidan Corcoran to share his best tips for going au naturel (well, kind of!).

1. Always prep your lips to get the perfect pout - start with a scrub and hydrate the lips with a nourishing balm.

2. Find a universal nude lip liner that you can pair with all your favourite nude lipsticks and start by lining the lips. Then fill in the whole lip - this will increase the wear of your lipstick.

3. If you are prone to dry or chapped lips, go for a more hydrating lipstick that will give a comfortable velvety finish.

4. To give your nude lip a bit of depth, use a deeper lip liner. Opt for a liquid lipstick if you're looking for longer-wear.

5. Finally, apply a clear gloss to the centre of the lips to give a high shine 3D finish.
