Adam Ward joins Onstate's management team as Head of Client Services & Marketing. Ward ran his own agency, The Northern Foundry (with clients such as Reuters, Pipers Crisps & Bulldog Skincare), for five years and has held various senior marketing roles.
Having spent time both in-house and agency side, the fast-paced environment of agency life and ecommerce is what excites me most. Whilst my focus will be on heading up the client services function, we’ve also seen a big uptake in digital marketing requests. As this is a potential area of growth for the business, I’ll be looking to bring my expertise in this area and build a team to deliver on-going strategies for our clients.
The client roster we have speaks for itself and the latest new client wins meant it was an easy decision to join the team here at Onstate.
Rich Day, Co-founder and Creative Director feels like this is just the beginning of a new wave of growth for the agency:
To attract a global brand like Issey Miyake but also work on hugely successful Yorkshire businesses like Mamas & Papas and BetterYou is what we’re all about at Onstate. We’ve noticed a huge shift in clients wanting to re-platform to Shopify and we’ve managed to become a Shopify Plus Partner at the right time. Not only are we seeing a raft of new wins, we’re also seeing clients look for an all-in-one agency that will deliver class-leading ecommerce builds alongside robust digital marketing strategies. It really is an exciting period for the agency.
Other recent hires include Naomi Adkins, joining the business as Senior Designer from Leeds based digital agency Zeal.
Since joining, Naomi has played a significant role, leading the design for many of the key projects in flight.
I’m really enjoying focusing within the ecommerce sector, where Onstate specialise. It offers so much opportunity to see the impact design and UX have on conversion and engagement rates for clients. Returning measurable results through the creative process is really rewarding for the whole team, and pushes the boundaries to be braver with new campaigns and concepts we’re bringing to the table.
